Region of Waterloo Environmental Sustainability Strategy

With a concern for public awareness and sustainability, the Region of Waterloo has authored a comprehensive and accessible strategic plan to tackle environmental issues within the Waterloo region, entitled “The Region of Waterloo Environmental Sustainability Strategy”. Policy Concerns Regarding the Waterloo Moraine

Ontario Environmental Commissioner Gord Miller is encouraging the province to amend its policies and better protect the Waterloo moraine based on points released in his annual report at the end of September. He mentions the policies are missing crucial measures critical to protecting natural heritage.
